T'was the Day After Christmas

Today is kinda a dreary day as a storm comes thru but the weatherman promises that the afternoon will become at least partly cloudy and no more rain.  We needed the rain here so the storm was a blessing.  The leftovers from yesterdays meal have completely taken over my refrigerator so there will be ALOT of turkey sandwichs lol and of coursI e the deserts were never even tasted so I have the 2 whole pumpkin pies, 1 apple pie, 1 plate full of cookies and 1 plate full of pumpkin bread.

After talking to my dad back in Oklahoma last night I think I will freeze several goodies and pack them all up and send them to my mom and dad for an extrat they only e thalling m treat for the holidays.  He was telling me that they only had one visitor yesterday and that since the ice\snow storm had been blowing in since the night before that they both had stayed in doors and didn't plan to get out and about at all.  So the visitor was a welcome.  He said that they had brought a few gifts and a cheeseball for them to enjoy.  We were discussing that how much he missed the family meals with his folks when he was a child and how my grandmother used to prepare the Christmas Dinner.  He has such wonderful stories to share and I am always eager to hear a new one.  So I know he will enjoy the treats that are mailed to them.

My youngest son Christopher will fly home tomorrow morning early and end his week long visit with us.  I will be a bit blue when he leaves but he says he will be looking to move to either Atlanta Georgia or Miami Florida!!!  So we will be anxiously waiting.  :C)  He has an extremely well decorated apartment in the downtown heart of The Big D!!  Dallas Texas is his home and he is a BIG CITY BOY so he will not be comfortable in the laid back country like his older brother and us.  Which that is okay too.  Just a few hours either way and maybe 200-300 miles either way will be so awesome to have travel and not by plane but by car instead of the 2-4 day drive (thatls how long it takes my husband and me of course we have to site see a bit and stop more often to get up and move around it's a real pain getting older...) but it shows in Google maps to only take 16 hours and its 1,000 miles from here to Dallas so if he moves closer that would definitely be awesome.  And he is also a BRAND NEW UNCLE!!!  Our very first granddaughter was born Nov 19, 2012 Miss Lilli Faye
Thurman.  Hope everyone enjoyed our litthtle family gathering yesterday.  It was a bit stressful but none the less very enjoyable.  Until tomorrow or when I have time to Blog again have a great day.
